Dr. Bloom has been on faculty at New York University College of Dentistry since 1994. He has served as a course director of both post-doctoral and pre-doctoral didactic and clinical courses and had been extensively involved with the design, implementation and introduction of implant dentistry into the pre-doctoral clinical curriculum at the College. He maintains a private practice in New York City limited to periodontology and implant dentistry with an emphasis on esthetic and regenerative techniques. Dr. Bloom is actively involved with organized dentistry and is an elected member to the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Periodontology and was a Board member, officer and past president of the Northeastern Society of Periodontists and has served and continues to do so on a wide range of committees with these organizations among others. He is a member of the American Acadey of Periodontology, Northeastern Society of Periodontists, Academy of Osseointegration, New York Academy of Dentistry, the Int'l College of Oral Implantologists, and the American Dental Association/First District Dental Society. Dr. Bloom has been involved with pre-clinical and clinical research and has publications in scientific journals and texts and has lectured on a all phases of periodontology and dental implant surgery.
