Mr. Michael Berman, also known as Mike, M.D., founded Rebiotix Inc in 2011 and serves as its Chairman of the Board. Mr. Berman is a Co-Founder of Aetherworks, Concetpx and Sage Medical, Inc. He is a Consultant and Member of Scientific and Industry Advisory Board of RiverVest Venture Partners, LLC. Mr. Berman is a Consultant on retainer to RiverVest, providing the firm with advice relating to existing and potential new portfolio companies. He co-founded APNEX Medical, Inc. in 2005. Mr. Berman is Co-founder of Benechill Inc. He serves as Vice Chairperson of Department of Pathology at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Inc. Mr. Berman is a Co-founder of Prospex Medical, Inc. Mr. Berman is a Medical Device Entrepreneur and investor working with a select group of high potential development and early-stage commercial companies. He founded Berman Medical in 2002. In 2000, he co-founded Velocimed. Mr. Berman was the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of BridgePoint Medical, Inc. He served as Consultant at Israel Seed Partners since 2004. Mr. Berman served as the Chief Operating Officer at Outside Ventures, LLC. He was Co-Founder of St. Jude Medical, Cardiology Division, Inc. From February 2000 to August 2001, Mr. Berman served as Senior Vice President at Boston Scientific Scimed, Inc. and also served as its President of Cardiology Business from 1995 to 2000. From June 1995 to February 2000, he served as the President and Group President of the Cardiology Business. As President, Mr. Berman expanded Cardiology Business's presence in the interventional cardiology market. From January 1995 to June 1995, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at the company. Mr. Berman was also the first Product Manager at Scimed. Prior to joining the company, he was employed in marketing as Executive Officer at Marietta Corporation, from 1985 to 1986 and at Baxter Corporation's Israel facility, from 1981 to 1984. Mr. Berman is the Scientific and Industry Advisory Board of PharmaCentra, LLC. He serves as the Chairman of Apnex Medical, Inc. He serves as a Director of SoniVie since 2014. Mr. Berman has been an Independent Director of InspireMD, Inc. since February 7, 2013; Mazor Robotics Ltd., since February 2, 2014 and BeneChill, Inc., since 2004. He serves as a Director of Cardiosonic, Rebiotix, PulmOne, AngioSlide, ClearCut, AngioScore, Apnex Medical, ConcepTx Medical, Inc., InterValve Inc., MikrobEX Inc., Sage Medical Technologies, Data Sciences International, Inc., and Nugyn. Mr. Berman currently serves as a Board Bember of a number of private and public medical technology companies. He was a Founding Director of Lutonix Inc. Mr. Berman served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ultra Equity Investments Ltd. (formerly, UltraShape Medical Ltd. and UltraShape Inc). since December 2005 and Curon Medical Inc. since February 2001. He served as the Chairman of Knowledgetree Ventures, Inc. since November 2003. Mr. Berman served as the Chairman of Topspin Medical and Topspin Israel since November 2003. He served as a Director of Curon Medical Inc. since July 2000; Transoma Medical, Inc., since August 2001 and Ultra Equity Investments Ltd. Mr. Berman was a Member of Healthcare Advisory Board of Baird Venture Partners. He served as a Director of Myocor, Inc., Urometrics, Inc., AetherWorks Corporation, CoAxia, Inc., and St. Jude Medical, Cardiology Division, Inc. Mr. Berman earned an M.B.A. degree from Cornell University in 1986 and a B.A. degree in Labor Relations and a B.S. in Industrial from Cornell University in 1979.
