Biography

Dr. Matthew Abbott is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Michigan Health System and specializes in pediatric orthopaedic surgery. He completed his undergraduate education at DePauw University where he graduated cum laude in Biochemistry and Spanish. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine. After residency, Dr. Abbott completed a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Abbott is an active member in multiple societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Association, and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.
