Marcus qualified from Auckland University in 1994, becoming a Member of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners in 1997.He developed his interest in Dermatology, Skin and Cancer surgery by providing Dermatology and Skin cancer surgery services at North Shore Hospital from 1996, completing his Diploma in Dermatology in 1999.
