Dr. Dirk Lange received his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology in 2008 from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urologic Sciences at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC,Canada and Director of Basic Science Research at The Stone Centre at Vancouver General Hospital. Dr. Lange has made significant contributions in the area of kidney stone disease, specifically surrounding patient morbidities following stone surgery and is expanding his researchexpertise to include the role of intestinal calcium and oxalate absorption on calcium oxalate kidney stone disease.
