Biography

Dr. Allen has been Principal and Co-Investigator in both clinical and educational research projects. His areas of interest include education and teaching methodologies. Dr. Kenneth Allen is the Director of the General Dentistry Simulation Program, the Course Director for Diagnosis and Treatment of Oral Diseases and the Director of the Oral Examination Program. He has lectured nationally and internationally and is author of multiple articles on preclinical education and teaching methodologies. Dr. Allen was instrumental in instituting the Selective in Teaching Skills program where third year students assist first year students in their early preclinical courses. Dr. Allen is a member of numerous dental organizations included among them are the Academy of Operative Dentistry, the American Association for Dental Research, and the American Dental Education Association.
