Dr. Katrina Rose Tan received her DDS degree from Cebu Doctors’ University, Philippines in 2011. She graduated on top of her class and was awarded the gold medal for Academic Excellency from the said University. She was given the academic distinction on that same year as well. She has been a consistent Dean’s Lister and Academic Scholar throughout her undergrad studies. She also held the positions of class vice president and class president respectively. As the speaker and team leader, she placed top 3 in an intercollegiate research paper contest. Dr. Tan then underwent and successfully completed the Oral Surgery externship program at the University of the Philippines –Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) on 2012. She earned her clinical proficiency in Orthodontics by completing a comprehensive clinical outpatient Orthodontic Program on 2015. She is currently undergoing her studies and training in Craniodontics TMJA and Dental Sleep Medicine up to present. Dr. Tan also completed the Post-graduate training program in Basic Esthetic Dentistry of the Philippine Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (PAED 101) in 2015 and became a member of the said organization. She has attended the Asian Congress of Esthetic Dentistry & 1st MiCD Global Symposium on November 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand. She speaks English, Fookien, Cebuano, and Tagalog. She plays badminton and table tennis during her free time. There are days wherein she brings out her sketchpad or blank canvas and just draw or paint, letting out her creative juices flow. She also loves to travel, to experience the rich diverse cultures of each country, learn from them and hopefully share them. She’s done volunteer work by performing dental services in typhoon-torn places, far-flung indigent communities, and to jail inmates.
