Dr. Jose Veras Pola is a board-certified Family Physician who provides services to patients at Sunnyside Pediatrics in Metairie, Louisiana. He offers a variety of services, including well-child visits, childhood immunizations, school physicals, urgent care, and newborn care. He is also experienced in the treatment of asthma and obesity, as well as other ailments that affect children. His wife, Dr. Ana de Aguiar, and himself opened Sunnyside Pediatrics in April of 2005 and Sunnyside Family Health in October 2006. Dr. Veras Pola attended the Pontificia Univ Catol Madre Y Maestra, Fac De Cien Med De Salud, Santiago. He graduated from this institution with as a doctor of medicine in 1994. He then continued his education as a graduate research physician for GH Sergievsky/Taub Centers at Columbia University in New York City. His post-graduate internship was with SUNY-Albany Medical Center, St. Clare’s Hospital Family Medicine Program, at New York State. He did his Family Medicine Residency at Tulane, affiliated with East Jefferson General Hospital, in Metairie, Louisiana.
