Biography

Huolei Wang received my PhD degree from Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences in July 2015. My PhD research was focused on the design, material growth and fabrication of semiconductor device based on material. Those results have been published in peer reviewed journals. During my research career, I am skillful in the techniques of Optoelectronic device Design and fabrication, Basic semiconductor processes, Testing and analysis of optoelectronic devices etc. I have expertise in Mathematical Modeling, etc. Not to mention Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Photoshop software. From the papers your group have published, I have been deeply impressed by your academic achievement. I believe that a training opportunity in your lab would help me greatly. It is often in the multi-disciplinary research that came the most exciting discovery. I will be highly grateful if you can give me a chance. I joined our institute without examination as an Excellent Undergraduates in 2010. At the early time of my work in our team, I cooperate well with other students, and earn the reputation of a nice friend and hard working student, Besides, I am also the monitor of his class, which has 100 students. I started the topic of ?Mode-locked Lasers and Broadband Lasers?, which was a new field in my lab. I can always proposing many new ideas during my research, and many results have been published in international journals, such as Applied Physics Letters, Optics Letters and Optics Express. From all these research works, he obtained lots of experiences in the research of III-V based optoelectronic devices. Whenever i come across new techniques or theory in his work, i can soon acquire it and use it into his work. I remember that when I discussed an idea with my advisor about the broadband spectrum in tunnel junction lasers. I finished systemic experiments and made a brief conclusion in only one week, including the results on optical spectrums, power spectrums, frequency responses. Afterward, I developed this specific topic creatively, and a series of interesting results have been demonstrated, which also has been reported by Nature Photonics in Research Highlights Nature Photonics, vol. 8, pp. 675-675, 2014.
