Biography

Glancarlo Comi, MD is Professor of Neurology, Chairman of the Department of Neurology and Director of the Institute of Experimental Neurology at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan. He is world renowned for his contributions to the treatment of multiple sclerosis and was awarded the Charcot Award for MS research by the MS International Federation in 2015. He has published more than 500 articles in peer reviewed journals, as well as authored and edited numerous chapters of scientific books and more than 450 abstracts. Additionally, he has spoken nationally and internationally at more than 450 conferences during his prolific career. Considered a leading expert in multiple sclerosis, Dr. Comi has also conducted numerous research activities in clinical neurophysiology, neuropathology, and multiple sclerosis.
