Biography

    Graduated in Medicine and Surgery by the University of Navarra, obtained the Extraordinary Prize of Doctorate of the Faculty of Medicine of that same University in 1995.   He later held a postdoctoral fellowship in the UK, specifically at the Medical Research Council - Dunn Clinical Nutrition Center, University of Cambridge in the Obesity and Energy Balance group led by Prof. Dr. Andrew Prentice, being distinguished as Research Fellow of the prestigious Royal Society.   During this time in the UK he also worked as an Associate Professor at the University of Cambridge. Since 1998, he has been a Registered Nutritionist of the Nutrition Society (United Kingdom).   Since December 1998 he has been part of the Multidisciplinary Team for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Obesity of the University of Navarra Clinic and has introduced the tests of body composition and indirect calorimetry to the daily clinical practice.   Since 2015 Co-director of the Obesity Area of ​​the University of Navarra Clinic.   Research Areas Director of the Laboratory of Metabolic Research of the Clinic University of Navarra.   ACTIVITY   As a teacher Professor of Nutrition and Bromatology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Navarra.
