Fatima Juma joined FSRI in 2009 as a senior clinician and mentor, and has also been managing the physiotherapy department since 2011. Fatima has over 13 years of experience in treating all types of orthopedic/musculoskeletal problems and works closely with patients to create highly effective and individualized treatment plans using her specializations of manual & manipulative therapy, traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture, and dry needling with movement screen analysis & exercise. Her training in traditional Chinese medical acupuncture has further equipped her with valuable diagnostic and treatment tools for treating chronic musculoskeletal conditions, where traditional physiotherapy and western medicine are not as effective. Fatima received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada and a Certificate in Medical Acupuncture from the University of Alberta, Canada. She has also earned a number of postgraduate certifications: in medical acupuncture from Beijing, China, in manual & manipulative therapy from the Orthopedic Division of Canada and in dry needling from London, United Kingdom.
