Biography

 Dr Faisal graduated from the prestigious King’s College London Dental Institute and since then, he has practised in public institutions in Singapore at the National Dental Centre, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and the Institute of Mental Health. During his time there, Dr Faisal has undergone rotations in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Prosthodontics, Advance General Dentistry and Geriatric and Special Care Dentistry. Apart from general dentistry, Dr Faisal also has experience in treating patients with complex medical conditions such as those who have undergone radiotherapy to the head and neck, patients on oral and intravenous bisphosphonates and many others.  Apart from his clinical work, Dr Faisal spends his time at the Ministry of Health, as a dental administrator at the Chief Dental Officer’s Office. He works actively in assisting the Chief Dental Officer in formulating policies for Singapore’s oral healthcare needs. Dr Faisal has a particularly strong interest in public health, where he believes reducing dental disease experience in a community plays an important role in the social mobility of an individual. Dr Faisal is married and during his free time he is an active grassroots leader, serving as the Secretary for the Community and Development Welfare Fund Committee and the Assistant Secretary for the Consultative Citizen’s Committee in Kaki Bukit.
