He has graduated medicine in Medical University - Sofia in 2000 with excellence. After his graduation he worked in the Clinic for Nephrology, part of Medical University –Sofia, and also in the Clinic for Intensive Therapy in Military Medicine Academy in Sofia. In 2002 after winning a competition for a vacancy he was appointed as an intern in the National Cardiology Hospital in Sofia. From 2004 he was a Scientific Associate in the Electrophysiology Laboratory in the National Cardiology Hospital. From 2008 till 2011 he specialized in Second Clinic for Internal Diseases with Cardiology Center, part of the University in Seged, Hungary. In 2011 he was certified by the European Cardiac Arrhythmia Society as an Invasive Electrophysiologist and specialist in the sphere of Cardiac Stimulations. He became part of Tokuda Hospital Sofia team in April 2011, heading the Department of Invasive Electrophysiology and Cardiac Stimulation. Dr. Traikov is author and co-author of more than 20 scientific publications, some of them in prestigious international medical journals. He also has many participations in scientific forums in the sphere of Cardiology, Invasive Electrophysiology and Electrocardiostimulation. He is a member of the European Society of Cardiology, Bulgarian Society of Cardiology, Hungarian Society of Cardiology and European Cardiac Arrhythmia Society. He speaks English, Hungarian and German.
