Biography

Teresa is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Christchurch Hospital. She is a graduate of the University of Nottingham and then underwent Specialty Training in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine in London, UK. . She previously worked in the Royal Free Hospital Liver Unit and the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s Hospital where she was involved in both research and training as a clinical fellow. She completed her doctoral studies at University College London into the Aetiology of Crohn’s disease before moving to Christchurch in 2005 with her family. Teresa is currently actively involved in many specialist societies, including the New Zealand Society of Gastroenterology, and the British Society of Gastroenterology. Teresa’s highest professional priority is the provision of optimal clinical care and to that end is also involved in clinical trials of new pharmaceuticals.   Teresa is a Southern Cross Affiliated Provider.
