Biography

Dr Sunny Shen is a Senior Consultant and Head of the Oculoplastic Dept in SNEC. He is also the Deputy Head of SNEC - CGH Ophthalmology Department. Dr Shen graduated with merit from the University of Hong Kong in 2000 and received his Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) degree from the National University of Singapore in 2004. He completed his Ophthalmology training with specialist accreditation in 2008 and was admitted as Fellow in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom and the College of Ophthalmologists, Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Dr Shen continued to pursue subspecialty development in Oculoplastic surgery. He completed his fellowship at the Singapore National Eye Centre in 2009 and was awarded the SingHealth Healthcare Manpower Development Program (HMDP) scholarship for further training in Adnexal surgery at the Moorfields Eye Hospital, United Kingdom.

Lacrimal surgery, Orbital surgery, Thyroid Eye Disease, Orbital trauma, Paediatric oculoplastic surgery, Congenital anophthalmia and Lid oncology,Asian eyelid and orbital anatomy, post enucleation socket syndrome and development of new orbital implants
