Dr Smitha Raghavan M V, has over 10 years of experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Soon after graduating in MBBS, from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, she migrated to United Kingdom for higher training. She underwent systematic training in the British system, working in various University and district general hospitals. This gave her the opportunity to train with some of the best Obstetricians and Gynecologists in the country, thus imbibing the skills from the able trainers. She completed MRCOG, and trained as specialty registrar in Northern deanery for 5years. During this period, she underwent advanced training in managing women in labor, managing gynecological emergencies and early pregnancy problems, Gynecologic USS including early pregnancy scanning and Medical education. She achieved “Certificate of completion of training” from General Medical Council, the governing body for doctors in United Kingdom. She has presented and published clinical audits in various national and international conferences. She has devised several guidelines and protocols for the hospital she has trained in, which has contributed to improving the quality of care provided to patients.
