Ranjana leads Cipla’s Worldwide Quality enterprise throughout the product’s lifecycle from development to commercialization. Ranjana has over three decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the USA, held senior leadership positions with increasing responsibilities in various organizations. She worked for Branded and generic companies such as Watson/Actavis, Endo/Dupont Pharmaceuticals, Zenith Goldline, Thames Pharmacol, with extensive experience in dealing with regulatory bodies such as FDA, MHRA, ANVISA, MCC to name a few. Ranjana served in the role of Sr. Vice President of Global Quality for Watson/Actavis Pharmaceuticals, was responsible for worldâ€wide quality. Prior to Watson/Actavis, Ranjana worked as Vice President of Quality and Compliance at Endo Pharmaceuticals had the privilege of creating commercial QA and R&D Quality Assurance department. Products ranged from solids (mainly narcotics), patches, suppositories, devices. She was actively involved in Preâ€clinical and Phase 1 through Phase 3 trials. Ranjana has a Doctorate in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix. She has also done her MBA from Dowling College. She did her Bachelors of Science (Honors) in Chemistry from Mithibai College of Arts and Chauhan Institute of Science, Mumbai. Post Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical & Chemical Analysis from Sophia College. Leadership course in Pharmaceutical and Biologics from Harvard University. She has been published a few times, taught/lectured in many pharmaceutical courses/seminars on various topics (validation, PQR/APR, Compliance issues etc.). She loves Reading & Dancing and is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. Ranjana was awarded the Rising Star award in 2006 by Healthcare Business Association.
