Dr. Yoneva graduated from the Plovdiv Medical University in 1975, and received her specialization in microbiology in 1988. From 1985 to 1985, she led the microbiology laboratory of the Sofia Hygiene and Epidemiology Institute. From 1995 to 2006, Dr. Yoneva managed the microbiology laboratory of the 2nd Municipal General Hospital in Sofia, as well as worked in the microbiology laboratory of the general hospital “Vita” from 1998 to 2006. She has been a member of our hospital since we opened our hospital. Dr. Yoneva has many publications in specialized journals concerning hospital hygiene control, urinary infections, reproductive organ infections, and others. In 2005, she participated in a professional experience exchange in the Tokushukai Hospital Network in Japan. She is member of the Bulgarian Association of Microbiology, The Microbiology Club of the Bulgarian Union of Scientists and the Microbiology Society, as well as the European Association of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.
