Biography

Dr Mirzan graduated from the University of Medicine in 1990 and obtained her specialization in Clinical Laboratory Medicine in 1995. She served as a Clinical Laboratory Director since 1997 in one of the most complex hospital laboratories in Bucharest. Dr. Mirzan has been trained in assisted reproductive techniques in Cleveland, U.S. She also attended several training modules and workshops in U.K., France and Belgium. Along with embryology skills she gathers a vast experience in microbiology, immunology and quality assurance. Dr. Mirzan joined the Gynera Fertility Center in 2007 and contributed to the high success rates achieved since then. She pioneered new reproductive techniques in our center; her outstanding work led us to report the first vitrified blastocyst baby in our country. Dr. Mirzan is a member of several societies involved with reproductive medicine, including the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases.
