He was trained in internal medicine and obtained membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2005. He became a fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 2008 after completing his advanced specialist training in infectious diseases at the Singapore General Hospital. In 2010/11, Dr Low pursued further sub-specialty training in transplant infectious diseases at the Toronto General Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital in Canada.
