Dr. Michaels grew up in Wyckoff, NJ and attended Ramapo High School in Franklin Lakes. She is a general pediatrician who is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She enjoys practicing medicine in the same neighborhood where she was raised. Dr. Michaels received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from New York University and her medical degree from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. She stayed at the university to complete her residency training in pediatrics. She was Chief Pediatric Resident at The Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center and The University Hospital in Newark, NJ. After residency, she and her husband moved back to Wyckoff and she joined a large private group practice in Bergen County. She had her first child, and then began working in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Hackensack University Medical Center before opening Milestones Pediatrics. Dr. Michaels is pleased to offer a general pediatric practice where patient education and continuity of care are emphasized.
