Dr. Khalid graduated from the University of Khartoum, Sudan in 1996. In 2002, he became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), UK. In 2009, Dr. Khalid attained his of Certification of Higher Training in Gastroenterology and General Medicine in the UK. Dr. Khalid became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London UK) in 2013. Dr. Khalid has practiced extensively in the UK. He started his career at the New Cross Hospital as a House Officer in 2000. After completing his Higher Training in Gastroenterology and General Medicine, in 2009, he joined the Torbay Hospital, the UK as a substantive Consultant Gastroenterologist where he developed the Pancreaticobiliary service and led the upper GI cancer multidisciplinary team. In 2013, Dr. Khalid moved to the UAE where he practiced as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at one of the well - known governmental hospitals in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Khalid has extensive experience in his field and is an accomplished Gastroenterologist with additional training and fellowship in ERCP and Endoscopic Ultrasound. His special interests include pancreaticobiliary diseases, biliary endoscopy, advanced interventional endoscopy and GI oncology. He also has many research publications to his credit.
