Dr. Jon Aizpurua is the General Director of the IVF Spain Fertility Clinic. He studied medicine at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg (Germany) and specialised in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at various clinics in Germany. He obtained his PhD in oncology research and graduated “Magna Cum Laude”. He graduated in Clinical Pharmacology (Phase I-III) and also obtained an MBA in Public Health/Quality Control. He undertook additional scientific training in Germany in the fields of oncology, genetics and fertility.  Dr. Aizpurua led centres of excellence in Bilbao and Alicante before deciding in 2009 to establish IVF Spain. He is a Board member of the IVF Spain Foundation, and President of the Human Fertility Chair at the Universidad de Alicante (University of Alicante).  Dr. Aizpurua believes that best results in fertility are achieved by combining science, advanced therapies, research, genetics, cutting-edge technology and patient-centred philosophy. He believes in tailored medicine and devotes time to his patients in order for them to fully understand the reproductive choices each person has. He shows particular interest in helping couples with repeated failed treatments. This philosophy underpins everything that the clinic offers.
