Biography

Summary 1. An Epidemiologist with 11 years of research experience in evaluating impacts of animal disease and in the development, testing and evaluation of alternative disease control measures in diverse farming systems in developing countries. 2. Expertise in analytical skills particularly quantitative statistical modelling and mathematical and simulation modelling of infectious diseases. 3. Expertise in participatory epidemiology and Trainer of Trainers in participatory epidemiology. 4. Expertise in Spatial Epidemiology. 5. Developed a computational dynamic systems model for predicting the risk of occurrence and impacts of Rift Valley fever (RVF) in the north-eastern Kenya.
