· Dr Guo Chang Ming is an orthopaedic specialist currently practising at Gleneagles Hospital. Dr Guo’s subspecialty interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, cervical and lumbar spine surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery for scoliosis, and kyphoplasty. · Dr Guo completed his Master of Medicine (Surgery) at the National University of Singapore. He subsequently specialised in orthopaedic surgery and did his fellowship in spine surgery. Besides clinical work, Dr Guo has a passion for teaching and research. He has organised numerous spine specialty courses, and currently teaches at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and the National University of Singapore. Dr Guo is also Deputy Head (Clinical Service) at the Singapore General Hospital. · Dr Guo has been invited to speak at a number of regional conferences and hospitals. He was awarded the National Medical Research Council-STPB award to do research at Harvard Medical School. His basic research interests include tissue engineering with human mesenchymal stem cells and fabrication of injectable bone cements with chitin based biomaterials. · He is currently serving as the chairman of the Asia Pacific member series for the Society of Lateral Access Surgery (SOLAS).
