· Dr Goh Teck Chong is a respiratory medicine specialist currently practising at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. Dr Goh has a clinical interest in respiratory intensive care, bronchoscopy, interstitial lung diseases, lung function measurements and sleep disorders. · At Gleneagles Hospital, Dr Goh has been a member of the Medical Advisory Board (MAB), its Intensive Care Subcommittee, Credential Subcommittee, and chairman of its Infection Control Subcommittee and Therapeutic Subcommittee. He is a co-director of the polysomnography (sleep study) service for the hospital. · Dr Goh has been a clinical teacher for the medical undergraduates at the National University of Singapore, a clinical teacher and lecturer for the Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) and Master of Medicine (Anaesthesia) courses. He was also the supervisor for Advanced Trainees in Respiratory Medicine for the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Dr Goh also served as a lecturer and examiner for the School of Nursing's final examination for state registered nurses as well as for Post-graduate Intensive Care Courses for nurses. · Dr Goh was in the Council of the Singapore Thoracic Society from 1987 to 1998, serving as Treasurer, Secretary and, for two terms, as the President. As the president in 1994, he was instrumental in the setting up of the Asthma Association and served as its medical advisor. Dr Goh was a member of the Respiratory Medicine Specialty Board, Academy of Medicine, Singapore, from 1993 to 1998, which granted specialist accreditation to respiratory physicians. From 1996 to 2004, he was the governor and then the regent for Singapore for the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP).
