Her dermatology training was divided between the Mayo Clinic(Rochester, USA) where she did fundamental research on melanoma as part of the Molecular Medicine Program, and the Interhospital Department of Dermatology of the St Pierre – Brugmann – HUDERF Hospitals (Brussels, Belgium) where she completed her clinical training. Her work in the United States provided an excellent opportunity for her to become a fluent English-speaking dermatologist. She has taken part and continues to play an active role in clinical studies, including several international multicentre studies, mainly in the field of psoriasis.
