Biography

 Dr Chrysochoou has received several scholarships, research grants, awards and fellowships of acknowledged standing (by the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation, the Greek Ministry of Education and the European Union EPEAK-HERACLITUS Grant 2002-2006, the Research Committee of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Greek State Scholarship Foundation) during her undergraduate and postgraduate studies (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and University of London), and her research activities. She currently teaches several courses in the Psychology Department of the University of Sheffield International Faculty, City College, at both undergraduate level (BSc in Psychology programme units: Memory and Language; Neuroscience; Introduction to Psychology, focusing on Cognitive Psychology topics; Evolutionary Psychology), and post-graduate level (Neuropsychology of Memory and Dementias unit, in the context of the MA in Clinical Neuropsychology/MSc in Cognitive Neuropsychology programmes, for which she is the Academic Director).

 Cognitive development: Memory skills and processes; Working memory; Executive functions; Language skills and processes (Comprehension, Reading, Vocabulary). Bilingualism and cognitive development. Cognition & Emotion. Cognitive Ageing.
