Dr Dominique Parent has been a dermatologist in Brussels since 1978. A university professor at the ULB, she has taught Dermatology and Venereology for a number of years to students in Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy at Brussels Free University. She founded and is head of the Mucosal Pathology Clinic at the Erasmus Hospital, where she has developed anogenital dermatological and infectious (STD) pathology in women (dermatology – gynaecology), in men (dermatology – urology) and dermatological pathology of the anogenital region in children. After 36 years working at the Erasmus Hospital, Dr Dominique Parent now offers specialist anogenital consultations at the Brussels Skin Center in Uccle and at the Ambroise Paré University Hospital in Mons. She continues to offer oral mucosa specialist consultations only at the Erasmus Hospital Stomatology Department. Bilingual in French and English, over the course of her career, Dr Dominique Parent has written articles and book chapters in both languages and has given numerous presentations at international conferences.
