Dr. Czajka is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic traumatologist. He specializes in the management of the multiply injured patient with an emphasis on surgical treatment of complex acute musculoskeletal injuries and the management of problem fractures such as nonunions and malunions. His specialized training includes the treatment of extremity injuries, open and percutaneous treatment of injuries to the pelvic ring and acetabulum, and advanced utilization of both internal and external fixation techniques of acute fractures and “cold” trauma. Dr. Czajka received his undergraduate degree in political science from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, where he was a four-year member and captain of the NCAA Division I Baseball Team. He attended medical school at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC. He completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. He went on to complete fellowship training in orthopaedic trauma at the University of Texas at Houston in Houston, TX. Dr. Czajka has authored numerous publications and book chapters in several aspects of orthopaedic surgery. He has presented research nationally and internationally and is a candidate member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association.
