Biography

As a psychiatrist and trainer at the Emergences Institute he directs, Claude Virot has been interested in hypnosis and brief therapies since the beginning of his career. Formed in 1986 by Jacques-Antoine Malarewicz, he created the Milton H. Erickson Institute in Rennes-Bretagne in 1994. He received from Ernest Rossi the Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award at the Milton H. Erickson Institute in California.Its involvement is also reflected in the many congresses it organizes in France. The last two, devoted to Hypnosis and pain, posted more than 900 participants in 2014 in La Rochelle and in 2016 in Saint-Malo.Claude Virot also directed the World Hypnosis Congress of the ISH. It was held in Paris from 26 to 29 August 2015 and welcomed 2,500 participants, a record to beat!
