Dr. Cheng received his medical degree at the University of New South Wales, Australia in 1998 and completed his basic and advanced specialty training in General Surgery in 2006. In 2007, he was a senior Clinical Fellow in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery in Prince of Wales Hospital Sydney. Before joining PVEC, he served as the Head of Vascular and Endovascular Service at Singapore’s Tan Tock Seng Hospital and adjunct Assistant Professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. Dr. Cheng’s subspecialty interests are in all methods of minimally invasive Endovascular interventions in Aortic and Peripheral Arterial and Venous Diseases. Common procedures include Endovenous ablation (laser/radiofrequency) of varicose veins, Peripheral Arterial Angioplasty (Leg artery ballooning) and Aortic Stenting. Besides his current clinical practice, Dr. Cheng has presented at several international Vascular and Venous conferences in Taiwan, Seoul and Tokyo, as well as authored a number of articles and abstracts in various peer-reviewed journals and publications. He has also been invited overseas to supervise or proctor complex surgical procedures
