Biography

Dr Anita Chan graduated from medical school at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1998 and subsequently completed her ophthalmological training in Singapore in 2007. Her subspecialty fellowship training in the Department of Ocular immunology and inflammation at the Singapore National Eye Center was completed in 2009. She was awarded a 2-year HMDP fellowship award in 2009 to further her training in uveitis and ophthalmic pathology at the Doheny Eye Institute, Los Angeles, USA and at the Institute of Ophthalmology, University College London and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, UK. She was awarded the ARVO Basic Science award from the Doheny Eye Institute in 2010 for her research on Neuroglobin retinal neuroprotection. Dr Chan also practices Ophthalmic Pathology in collaboration with the Department of Histopathology at Singapore General Hospital.
