Qualified from the University of Birmingham in 1967 and achieved a Masters in periodontology at the University of London in 1972. He has been in private practice limited to periodontics since 1972. A past president of the Israel Society of periodontology and, until recently, a member and examiner in periodontology of the Israel Dental Association Scientific Council.
