David DeMarco is a principal at Ernst & Young LLP (EY) with more than 25 years of experience in strategy, innovation and management consulting. He currently serves as the US Health Deputy Leader, where he oversees the full range of audit, tax, transaction and advisory services for the Firm's health practice across the country. Prior to this role, he served as the Northeast Region Life Sciences Market Segment leader for Ernst & Young LLP. Other senior leadership roles include serving as VP of Strategy at Cambrex Corporation, and VP of CapGemini. Prior to CapGemini, Dr. DeMarco was a successful entrepreneur in the boutique strategy and innovation consulting firm, Idea Connection Systems (ICS). While leading the growth of ICS, he served the life sciences, government, energy, automotive and manufacturing sectors. He also conducted and published research on cognitive creative styles that underpin the innovation process. Dr. DeMarco also has established a strong presence on social media; he is typically noted as one of the top 1% Life Science influencers as well as one of the leading voices among the Big Four Healthcare / Life Sciences Tweeters globally. Dr. DeMarco has been volunteering for the American Diabetes Association since July 2011 and served as Chair of the Association's Metro New York City Community Leadership Board and has served on the Finance Committee.
