Dr. Christina (Tina) M. Cox was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, with her loving parents, Bill and Linda Mayberry, and older sister, Maria. Growing up she was active in many sports, including basketball, golf, and cheerleading. She graduated from Wheeler High School in 2005 with honors, and went on to attend the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, GA. Dr. Tina graduated Cum Laude in 2009 with a B.S in Biology from West Georgia, and worked in a dental practice in Marietta for a year before attending Dental School at The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA in the fall of 2010. During dental school she was involved in the American Student Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association student chapter. Dr. Tina obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in May 2014, and shortly thereafter married Dr. Mike Cox, a dental school classmate. Following dental school, Dr. Tina worked in a large group dental practice in Albany, Georgia, rotating between three offices and gaining valuable patient and staff experience in the process. In March 2015, Dr. Tina participated in the Salisbury Mission of Mercy, volunteering alongside her uncle, Dr. David Mayberry, providing free dental services to the underserved members of Salisbury, NC. She continues to volunteer her time and dental services to organizations dedicated to helping the underprivileged. Dr. Tina is a member of the Georgia Dental Association and the Georgia Academy of General Dentistry, organizations that offer continuing education courses to help dentists stay current with the continually changing field of dentistry. Dr. Tina is excited and eager to become established in the welcoming community of Columbus, GA along with her husband and their two puppies, Kozmo and Laney.
