He is specializing in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma. Dr. Nguyen graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles and received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. While in medical school, he was awarded grants for his research at the Hamilton Glaucoma Center, Shiley Eye Institute. He went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at the Baylor College of Medicine. After residency, he completed his glaucoma fellowship training at the Stanford University School of Medicine, Byers Eye Institute in Palo Alto, CA. Dr. Nguyen was also appointed a Clinical Instructor by the Stanford University School of Medicine, where he was involved in medical education. Dr. Nguyen is a faculty member of the Cullen Eye Institute at Baylor College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology. He is actively interested in and participates in clinical research and medical education.
