Biography

 Dr. Anuska V. Andjelkovic-Zochowski, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology, and an Associate Research Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery.  Dr. Andjelkovic-Zochowski received her M.D. from the University of Nis, Yugoslavia (Serbia), in 1990 and completed graduate studies at the University Belgrade, Serbia, receiving a Ph.D. in Neuroscience in 1999. In November 2001, she joined the faculty of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Michigan as Assistant Research Professor, and in March 2005, she joined the faculty of the Department of Pathology, as an Assistant Professor. In September of 2012, she was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor of Pathology. Dr. Andjelkovic-Zochowski is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Heart Association and the Society of Neuroscience. She has served as a reviewer for several scientific journals, including the Journal of Neuroscience, Stroke and FASEB Journal.
