Mr. William J. Sharbaugh has been the Chief Operating Officer of Pharmaceutical Product Development, LLC (PPD) since May 31, 2007. Mr. Sharbaugh joined PPD in May 2007. Mr. Sharbaugh served at Bristol-Myers Squibb as Vice President of Global Development Operations from 2005 to 2007 and was responsible for strategic direction for clinical operations located in 55 countries, where he provided operational leadership for global clinical operations, data management, patient recruitment and retention, contracting and outsourcing management, clinical supply operations, training and quality management. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Sharbaugh served as Executive Director of Global Clinical Supply Operations of Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he was responsible for planning, manufacturing, packaging and distributing investigational products worldwide. He served various leadership positions in a Patriot missile battalion. Mr. Sharbaugh served six-years at Bristol-Myers Squibb. He served 10 years at Merck & Co. in a variety of assignments in clinical supply operations, sales and manufacturing. Mr. Sharbaugh serves as a Director at X-Rx, Inc. He has been a Director of Wildcat Acquisition Holdings (UK) Limited since November 2011. Mr. Sharbaugh holds a Master's in the Management of Technology from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Business School and School of Engineering, a Master's in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance from Temple University School of Pharmacy and a Master's in International Relations from Boston University School of Arts and Sciences. He also graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor's in Engineering.
