Walt Smith is Senior Vice President, Head of Trade Management Services and Global Equities Business Development. Walt joined Nasdaq in 2008 as part of Nasdaq’s acquisition of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. In his current role, Walt is responsible for Trade Management Services, a business unit primarily focused on data center and connectivity solutions, amongst other trading-related products and services. Additionally, he is responsible for strategy, business development, pricing analysis and business intelligence for Global Equities. Previously, Walt led Nasdaq’s U.S. Equities business, responsible for the strategic and tactical direction of Nasdaq’s U.S. stock exchanges, including the Nasdaq Stock Market. Additionally, Walt had a primary role in pricing/business intelligence activities for U.S. Equities and Options. Prior to leading the U.S. Equities business, Walt was part of the U.S. Options leadership team involved in pricing, listed options programs, and business unit strategy.
