Vahram Nercissiantz began his career in 1966 at the Headquarter of Chase Manhattan Bank in New York. In 1969 he moved to the World Bank where he made a rich 30-year career encompassing four continents and over twenty countries, in both technical and management positions, specializing in development finance institutions, particularly in industrial and agricultural finance, energy and water resource management, and country economic management. He was appointed Chief Economic Advisor to President of Armenia in 1998.
