Tom Lynch is the Executive Chairman of the TE Connectivity Board of Directors. Mr. Lynch served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer from January 2006 to March 2017. He was elected to Chairman of the Board in January 2013 and transitioned to Executive Chairman of the Board in March 2017. From September 2004 to January 2006, Mr. Lynch was at Tyco International (Tyco) as the President of Tyco Engineered Products & Services, a global manufacturer of industrial valves and controls. He was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Tyco Electronics, now TE Connectivity, in January 2006, and grew the company into a $12 billion global technology leader. Mr. Lynch joined Tyco from Motorola, where he served as Executive Vice President of Motorola, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Motorola’s Personal Communications sector, a leading supplier of cellular handsets. Prior to this role, he served as President of the Integrated Electronics Systems sector, of which automotive was the largest market segment. Prior to Motorola, Mr. Lynch was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Satellite and Broadcast Network Systems segment for General Instrument Corporation. Mr. Lynch serves on the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee, and on the Boards of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (NYSE: TMO); Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI); and The Franklin Institute, Philadelphia, Pa. He is a member of the US-China Business Council (USCBC), a leading organization in building commercial relations with China. Mr. Lynch has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Rider University, New Jersey, U.S.
