Thomas Harms serves as senior vice president and managing director, China and APAC for Herbalife Nutrition. He is responsible for the strategies, distributor relations and financial performance of these regions. Harms previously served as vice president of special projects. In this role, he led the core team responsible for enhancing Herbalife Nutrition’s focus on its customers, increasing new customer acquisition and customer lifetime value. Prior to his role as vice president of special projects, Harms served as vice president of sales, marketing and business development, EMEA. During this time, he led the development of new product strategies to leverage regional opportunities and developed new technology platforms, better enabling consumer sales, strategy and insight efforts. From 2012 to 2014, Harms served as senior vice president of worldwide marketing, where he was responsible for the Herbalife Nutrition brand and marketing function globally. Specifically, Harms oversaw brand strategy, global creative, product marketing, channel marketing, sports marketing and sponsorships, distributor training and education. Harms reorganized and refocused product marketing while developing a five-year product innovation strategy to drive new product ideation in support of the business and brand goals. From 2001 to 2012, Harms held various sales and marketing roles at Herbalife Nutrition, both nationally and internationally. Prior to joining Herbalife Nutrition, Harms held various roles at Allied Domecq Retailing International (ADRI), including serving as vice president, Latin America, leading the team in development of ADRI brands and sales through appropriate market and channel development. Harms holds a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Science from University of Redlands.
