Biography

 Mr. Thomas P. Hayes, also known as Tom, has been the President of Tyson Foods, Inc. since June 13, 2016 and has been Chief Executive Officer since December 31, 2016. Mr. Hayes served as the Chief Commercial Officer of Tyson Foods, Inc. from June 2015 to June 13, 2016 and served as its President of Food Service until September 2, 2015. He served as Executive Officer of Foodservice Sales and Marketing and Marketing Professional at Tyson Foods, Inc. Mr. Hayes served as President of Food Service at Tyson Foods, Inc. since September 2014. He served as the Chief Supply Chain Officer and Executive Vice President at The Hillshire Brands Company since June 28, 2012. He served as Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer for Sara Lee Corporation’s North American Retail and Foodservice businesses from 2009 to 2012, President of Sara Lee Foodservice from 2007 to 2009 and Chief Customer Officer, Foodservice from 2006 to 2007. Mr. Hayes joined Sara Lee in 2006. Mr. Hayes served as Group President of US Foodservice, Inc. from 2004 to 2006 and held general management, sales and marketing positions with ConAgra Foods, The Fort James Corporation (paper mills), Stella Foods (food products) and Kraft Foods, Inc. He has been a Director of Tyson Foods, Inc. since November 21, 2016. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
