Graduated in 1994 from the Faculty of Agriculture at the Agricultural University of Lublin on the basis of the thesis entitled ""Studies on interspecific hybrids of Nicotiana tabacum L. x Nicotiana africana Merxm."" In 2004, the degree of doctor habilitated agricultural sciences in agronomy was obtained Department of Agriculture of the Agricultural University of Lublin, on the basis of academic achievements and the thesis titled "" ""Remote crossing and genetic transformation in tobacco resistance (Nicotiana tabacum L.) for potato virus Y (PVY)"". In December 2004 she was appointed as a docent at the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation in Puławy. President of the Republic of Poland Lech Kaczyński, by decision of February 26, 2010, gave Teresa Zofia Doroszewska the title of professor of agricultural sciences and on June 1, 2010 she was appointed by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development as a professor at IUNG-PIB. I started working at IUNG in 1978 at the Department of Cultivation and Cultivation of Tobacco. Since 2003 he has been the manager of the Department of Plant Breeding and Biotechnology (formerly known as the Department of Plant Breeding and Plant Cultivation). In 2003-2007 she was Secretary of the IUNG Scientific Council and since 2007. he is the deputy chairman of the IUNG-PIB Scientific Council and the chairman of the Committee for Pursuit of Science and Development. Between 1996 and 2003, she was a member of the ""PVY Collaborative Study"" group of the international CORESTA (Cooperation Center for Scientific Research Relative to Tobacco) and since 2004 has been a coordinator of the Collaborative Study on Virus Diseases. Since 2006 he has been the deputy chairman of the Phytopathology Study Group and a member of the CORESTA Scientific Committee. Research Intrest

"Main areas of research: • Immunization using cytogenetic and biotechnological methods and obtaining stable tolerant tobacco lines for all PVY strains. • Transforming tobacco towards PVY resistance and obtaining resistant transgenic lines. • Diagnosis and identification of pathogens and characteristics of Polish and foreign PVY isolates using serological and molecular methods. • Collection, maintenance of genetic purity and viability and characterization of Nicotiana species in terms of botanical, cytogenetic, resistance to major pathogens and abiotic factors. • Obtaining healthy seedling material using in vitro cultures, serological and molecular methods, and implementing 338,000 hop seedlings, virus-free and latent virosis in production farms. • Optimizing and widespread use of tissue and cell cultures for improving plant genotypes and metabolic processes. Her publications include 148 entries; most of them constitute scientific papers (80) in foreign and Polish journals; popular science publications (23) and expert reports and other papers (45). He is the editor and co-author of a bilingual, richly illustrated book titled "" ""Nicotiana wildlife album / Album of Nicotiana species"". The scientific activity is reflected in the implementation of domestic and foreign research projects, extensive cooperation, reviews of many scientific publications and research projects. She was a doctoral dissertation promoter (championed with honors) and serves as a promoter in the open doctoral dissertation. For his work, he was awarded the IUNG Director's Award for Tobacco Biotechnology Research (1988), the Individual Director Award of IUNG for his work on ""Identification and characterization of potato virus Y strains and the transfer of resistance to the most economically important strains of farm tobacco Director of the IUNG Individual Award for his work on ""Tobacco Virus Diseases and Y Potato Virus Resistance (PVY) by Distal Crossing and Genetic Transformation"" (2005), Diploma of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2005) for the postdoctoral dissertation ""Remote crossing and genetic transformation in tobacco resistance (Nicotiana tabacum L.) for potato virus Y (PVY)"",the bronze medal of the international organization CORESTA for his many years of tobacco research (2005), the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences Award in Lublin (2008) for outstanding achievements in the commercialization of research results under the project ""Variety Restoration of Hopes Planted by Growers"" (team leader) Awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland (2008), Award of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (2009) for his work entitled ""Development of a system for obtaining healthy hops and putting them into cultivation as an element of supporting changes in the structure of domestic hops"" (job manager).Awarded by the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Lublin (2008) for outstanding achievements in the commercialization of research results under the project ""Variety Restoration of Hopes Grown by Growers"" (team leader), Gold Medal for Long-term Service - awarded by the President of Poland (2008) Award of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (2009) for his work ""Developing a system for obtaining healthy hops and implementing them for cultivation as an element of support for changes in the structure of domestic hops"" (head of work).Awarded by the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Lublin (2008) for outstanding achievements in the commercialization of research results under the project ""Variety Restoration of Hopes Grown by Growers"" (team leader), Gold Medal for Long-term Service - awarded by the President of Poland (2008) Award of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (2009) for his work ""Developing a system for obtaining healthy hops and implementing them for cultivation as an element of support for changes in the structure of domestic hops"" (head of work).""Developing a system for obtaining healthy hops and putting them into cultivation as an aid to change in the structure of domestic hops"" (job manager).""Developing a system for obtaining healthy hops and putting them into cultivation as an aid to change in the structure of domestic hops"" (job manager)."
