Ted McCullough is executive vice president and chief production officer for Southern Company Generation. In this position, he is responsible for the operation of all of the Southern Company system’s fossil, hydro and renewable generation assets. In addition to this role, McCullough serves as a member of the Georgia Power management council as the senior production officer. He is responsible for Georgia Power’s approximately 17,500 megawatts of coal, natural gas and hydro generating capacity. Prior to these roles, McCullough was executive vice president of Engineering and Construction Services (E&CS) at Southern Company Services McCullough joined Southern Company in 1987 and has held various engineering leadership positions with the company, including plant superintendent at Alabama Power’s Lay Dam, manager at Georgia Power’s Plant Yates and plant manager at Southern Power’s Plant Franklin and Georgia Power’s Plant Branch. He also served as vice president and senior production officer for both Gulf Power and Alabama Power. McCullough is a registered professional engineer with degrees in electrical engineering and mathematics from Vanderbilt University. He also has a master’s degree in business administration from Auburn University.
