Mr. Stephen H. Wise has been a Managing Director and Global Head of Carlyles Heath Care Team at The Carlyle Group LP. At the firm, he serves as a Global Head of Carlyles Heath Care since January 2016. Mr. Wise served as a Co-Head of the Global Health Care Team at The Carlyle Group LP since March 2015 to January 1, 2016. He was a Principal at The Carlyle Group LP. He was also a Managing Director at firm till January 1, 2016.He is part of Corporate Private Equity fund segment at Carlyle Group. He focuses on United States buyout opportunities in the global healthcare industry. Since joining Carlyle in 2006, he has invested equity in healthcare companies around the world. Prior to joining Carlyle, he served as a Vice President at JLL Partners, where he focused on healthcare-related investments. Mr. Wise reviewed and executed transactions in a wide variety of sectors including facilities-based services, managed care and pharmaceutical services. Previously, he served as an Analyst at J.W. Childs Associates, L.P. Prior to that, he served as an Analyst in the leveraged finance group of Credit Suisse First Boston. He serves as a Director at Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD), LLC, Rede D'Or São Luiz S.A. and HCR- ManorCare Inc. He serves as a Director of Jaguar Holding Company I. He serves on the Leadership Council of the Harvard School of Public Health. He serves as a Director at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (OCD). He served as a Director of Holdings CL, Inc. since July 2006. He served as a Director of Grupo Qualicorp (Qalicorp). He served as a Director at Healthscope Pathology Holdings Pty. Ltd. He served as a Director of Qualicaps Group, Lifecare and MultiPlan, Inc. He served as a Director at Healthscope Limited since June 28, 2014. Mr. Wise holds a master's in business administration from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Economics and Finance from Bucknell University.
