Sean Major was named executive vice president and general counsel at Air Products in May 2017. He has responsibility for leading the company's legal organization worldwide. Prior to joining Air Products, Mr. Major served as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary at Joy Global since 2007. Prior to Joy Global, he was employed by Johnson Controls, Inc. for nine years, serving in roles of increasing legal responsibility, including general counsel‒Asia, and vice president and general counsel‒International. He began his in-house career with Abbott Laboratories as counsel‒International after spending seven years in private practice at law firms in Chicago and Tokyo.
