Scott Rust is a senior vice president of R&D at National Instruments. He leads the R&D vice presidents and their worldwide organizations in driving product development to equip scientists and engineers with tools that accelerate productivity, innovation, and discovery. Since joining NI in 1990, he has held positions in R&D, Strategic Marketing, and Applications Engineering, including vice president of PXI Test System Products for R&D. He founded the IVI Foundation, an alliance formed to address the gap seen by military/aerospace and large commercial electronics test developers for interchangeable virtual instrument drivers. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University.
